Visit Santa Cruz County Issues Summer Travel Advisory
Santa Cruz County is once again welcoming visitors for the season to enjoy the 29 miles of coastline and 14 state parks and beaches.
Press release from VSCC:
Now that restrictions have been lifted and summer has officially started, Santa Cruz County is once again welcoming visitors for the season to enjoy the 29 miles of coastline, 14 state parks and beaches, and thrilling attractions the area has to offer. Visit Santa Cruz County (VSCC) has some key reminders for travelers planning their summer vacations and Fourth of July holiday weekends. Mitigating the threat of fire, keeping beaches clean, and maintaining safe protocols are top of mind this year.
Due to the threat of fire, there are no sanctioned fireworks events held in Santa Cruz County, and fireworks displays are not allowed. All fireworks are illegal, including those marketed as “safe and sane” and triple fines will be enforced.

When visiting parks and beaches, take home what you bring with you: pack your trash so receptacles do not overflow and leave debris on the beach where it can be carried out to the ocean.
While vaccinated persons are no longer required to wear masks in most outdoor settings, Visit Santa Cruz County recommends that visitors bring their masks with them, as local businesses may have their own safety standards for guests. Maintain social distancing, wash or sanitize your hands, and wear a mask when appropriate to make your visit safe for everyone.
