SANTA CRUZ COUNTY — Do you think you have the most magnificent mutt, fabulous feline, best bunny or prettiest pig? The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is looking for a dozen extra special pets to grace the pages of its 2020 Calendar.

The lucky pets are being chosen by votes to represent each of months of the year with a picture selected from a private shoot by a local professional pet photographer. Plus, your entry fee (and vote donations) will support thousands of homeless animals in need that come to the open-admission shelter.

See the pets currently in the running and cast your vote.

Additionally, you can guarantee a spot in the calendar by reserving a date to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day. Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. First come first served — once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available. Each day is $15. Reserve Your Day Here →

The last day to participate is Aug. 9.
