Abstract painter Claudia Concha is leading a Spanish-and-English online art class with 18th Street Arts in Santa Monica via Zoom.

SANTA MONICA, CA — 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica will continue offering Spanish-and English-language online art classes on Wednesdays and Fridays via Zoom during the coronavirus pandemic.
Abstract painter Claudia Concha is leading the class, which is recommended for all ages. Classes started last week and there is no cost.
The online classes are every Wednesday and Friday at 11 a.m., including several break weeks, until June 12. During the week of April 29 there will be a family-friendly online film screening and conversation with artists rather than a workshop-style class.

Families are encouraged to work together, Sue Bell Yank, Deputy Director of 18th Street, told Patch via email. Most students are all ages and it's recommended that children will benefit with some adult supervision and help.
"We hope to continue them in the future pending continued funding," she told Patch.
