Butler Exceeds $1M in Campaign Contributions, Expenditures
During the most recent filing period, between Oct. 1-20, Betsy Butler raises a third of her campaign's total earnings and about $100,000 shy of opponent Richard Bloom's total campaign chest.
Assemblywoman Betsy Butler's campaign fundraising efforts in the race for the 50th Assembly District has seen an exponential leap in the last 20 days.
Numbers released Friday on the Secretary of State website for the period between Oct. 1-20 show that Butler raised some $407,504, or about a third of the campaign's earnings since Jan. 1.
Butler has spent some $1.45 million on her campaign since the beginning of the year.
Santa Monica Mayor Richard Bloom raised $114,703 during the most recent reporting period and has raised a total of $507,352 since Jan. 1.
Bloom has spent a total of $596,446 on his campaign this year.
