Join the Santa Monica Public Library Summer Reading program to help us reach our community reading goal of 500,000 minutes read. The free, all-ages program, Reading Colors Your World, kicks off on Monday, June 21, 2021.

Register online at smpl.beanstack.org or in person at the Main Library, Pico Branch Curbside, and Montana Avenue Branch Curbside. Track your reading over the summer to earn prizes. Kids and teens earn special activity kits at 300 and 600 minutes read, and adults are entered into a prize drawing after 600 minutes read. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library.

Teens ages 14-18 can register here for the free program The Writes of Summer: A Novel Writing Workshop for Teens, led by authors Suzanne Park (Sunny Song Will Never Be Famous) and Liz Lawson (The Lucky Ones) on Saturday, June 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
