The City of Santa Monica opens its free summer lunch program for school-aged children at Virginia Avenue Park on Monday, June 21. The program, a collaboration with the Department of Education, offers free grab-and-go meals Monday through Friday at the Virginia Avenue Park Thelma Terry Building from 12 to 1 p.m. through August 11, 2021.

All meals meet the nutritional requirements established by the United States Department of Agriculture. Adults can pick up a bag lunch for each school-age child in their household without a child present due to COVID-19 safety guidelines until supplies last.Â
