Convicted Felon Arrested On Suspicion Of Carrying Loaded Gun
A convicted felon was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded gun at a convenience store in Santa Monica, police said.

SANTA MONICA, CA — A convicted felon was arrested on suspicion of carrying a gun at a convenience store early Monday, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a man carrying a gun in his waistband at ampm at 332 Pico Blvd., near 4th Street, about 12:52 a.m. Monday, police said.
When officers arrived they saw a man and woman leaving the store, police said. They were detained and officers disarmed the suspect. The woman was interviewed and released. And a computer check found the armed suspect was a convicted felon.

Skyler Deon Darby, 31, of San Bernardino, was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded gun, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition when prohibited to possess.
His bail was set at $35,000. He was released on bond Monday morning. His next court date is scheduled for Wednesday.
