Dense Fog Creates Low Visibility In Santa Monica, 405 Freeway

Officials cautioned drivers late Sunday, warning them of low visibility in Santa Monica and along the 405 Freeway.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Dense fog in Santa Monica is creating low visibility for drivers on the San Diego 405 Freeway and also near LAX, the National Weather Service reported Sunday night.

Drivers were warned to use caution, drive slow and expect sudden slowdowns along roads.

Patchy, dense fog is expected after 11 p.m. through Tuesday night, according to the NWS.

Tuesday: Patchy dense fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 73. Light and variable wind becoming west southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. West southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 78.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 85.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 72.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 51.
