SANTA MONICA, CA — Disney+ will host a drive-in movie festival at the Santa Monica Airport in October for six nights—with the event series selling out fast after the company announced socially distanced screening.

"Due to overwhelming demand, this event has reached capacity," a message on the site says.

Locals snagged tickets to the drive-in festival nights at the Barker Hangar for a chance to see "Star Wars," fan-favorite episodes of "The Simpsons," "Hocus Pocus," along with sneak peeks of special Disney+ Originals and classic animations.

It starts Monday and each night includes popcorn, candy and other giveaways.

The event will feature the world premiere of National Geographic's "The Right Stuff" on Monday and "Clouds" on Oct. 12.
