Drive Safely: More Than 180 Traffic Crashes Reported On Rainy LA Freeways
On Wednesday alone, more than double the average number of crashes occurred.

Between midnight and 11 a.m. today, there were 189 traffic crashes on rain-slick Los Angeles County freeways, according to the California Highway Patrol.
During the same period a week ago, when it did not rain, 94 traffic crashes were reported, according to the CHP.
Specific numbers were not immediately available for Orange County, but generally the number of crashes at least doubles on a rainy morning compared with a non-rainy morning, a CHP officer said.
