Drop-Cloths Create New Trouble for Donald Sterling and Wife

A woman claimed she was injured when she slipped and fell on loose drop-cloths at a Santa Monica apartment building the couple owns.

LOS ANGELES, CA - Donald Sterling and his wife were sued today by a woman who says she slipped and fell on loose drop-cloths laid on a laminate floor at a Santa Monica apartment building they own.

Anne Piemonte filed the negligence suit against the former Clippers owner and his wife, Shelly, in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking unspecified damages. The suit also names as defendants the Sterling Family Trust and MAG Plumbing.

A representative for the Sterlings could not be immediately reached.

There were no warnings about the drop-cloths, which created a dangerous and hazardous condition when Piemonte fell last Aug. 4, her lawsuit alleges.
