Erik G. Wexler Named President Of Providence Southern Operations

Irvine, CA, Jan. 20, 2021 – Erik G. Wexler, chief executive of Providence Southern California, is the new president of operations and strategy for the health organization’s southern footprint, expanding his responsibility across three southwestern states.

Kevin Manemann, regional chief executive of physician enterprise, will step into Wexler’s regional leadership role, effective March 1. The new leadership structure was announced this week by the Catholic not-for-profit Providence, one of the nation’s leading health systems.
“This new structure drives the Providence goal to provide seamless, quality care for our communities, from choosing a primary care provider to hospital visits to specialty care and all the auxiliary services that health journey involves,” Wexler said. “I’m looking forward to becoming more acquainted with our operations in Northern California, Texas and New Mexico, and identifying best practices developed through quality and innovation, that we can share across Providence.”
The Southern California Region has 11 hospitals and affiliate Hoag Presbyterian Memorial Hospitals, scores of clinics, numerous outpatient centers, hospice services for adults and children, home care, a high school and other health services across Los Angeles and Orange counties and the High Desert area of San Bernardino County.

Providence, with system offices in Renton, Wash., and Irvine, also announced Lisa Vance will continue as chief executive in Oregon, while expanding her role to president of operations and strategy for Providence in Alaska, Montana and Washington.
