Fight Over A Pint Leads to Domestic Violence Arrest

John Matthew Tayon reportedly pushed his girlfriend after the couple got into a fight over a pint of vodka.

On Sept. 3 at approximately 11:50 a.m. Santa Monica Police officers responded to the corner of Lincoln and Pico boulevards on the report of a domestic violence incident that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim who told officers that she was pushed off the block wall where she was sitting by her boyfriend when they began fighting over a pint of Vodka.

The suspect walked away and possibly took her cell phone and EBT card with him. Paramedics responded and treated her even though she had no visible injuries. She was transported to a local hospital due to intoxication. The suspect was not located at this time.

However, on Sept. 6 at approximately 9 a.m. the suspect was located in the 200 block of Bicknell and placed under arrest.  He was booked for domestic violence and robbery. Bail was set at $75,000.
