Krispy Kreme Closes In Santa Monica
Krispy Kreme in Santa Monica is now vacant. It could be a sign of stiff competition among doughnut chains.
SANTA MONICA, CA — Krispy Kreme closed in Santa Monica and the shop is now empty.
It's unclear what happened but the doughnut chain is located near several others in the area and it could be a sign of the growing competition, the Santa Monica Mirror reports. A "for lease" sign is now in the window.
The store at 1231 Wilshire Blvd. is near several doughnut shops, including Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee and Dunkin' in Santa Monica. Iconic SoCal chain Randy's Donuts is also planning to open at the former Coffee Bean location at 829 Wilshire Blvd.
