SANTA MONICA, CA — A 33-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing while a resident is at home and recklessly causing a home to burn in Santa Monica this week, police announced Thursday.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire at a rear house in the 1400 block of 6th Street, near Santa Monica Boulevard, around 11:28 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
