Man Booked For Vandalizing City Trash Cans
Christopher Melton was caught with a paint marker after witnesses saw him vandalizing Santa Monica trash cans and a local building.
On Sept. 4 at approximately 9 p.m. Santa Monica police officers responded to Lot 4 South located at 2030 Ocean Ave. following a report of vandalism that had just occurred.
Upon arriving in the area, officers detained the suspect who witnesses had seen vandalizing several city trash cans and one building with a paint marker. Â
The witness identified the suspect and he was arrested. The suspect was found to be in possession of the marker. He was booked vandalism and possession of an instrument to vandalize. Bail was set at $500.
