Ocean Avenue To Be Partially Closed In Santa Monica
A water main replacement is forcing the closure of sections of Ocean Avenue between Washington Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard.
SANTA MONICA, CA — Sections of Ocean Avenue between Washington Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard will be closed through next month for replacement of a water main, Santa Monica city officials said Thursday.
Two water main breaks occurred in the last week — one on Saturday and another Wednesday. The breaks are believed to be related to partial pipe corrosion.
Water service has been restored to residents and businesses in the area, and service is expected to remain uninterrupted during the work.
