"Often times when the world gets too much, I escape to the forest. In it I find solace. A return to mother nature is a source of calm amid the world's noise."

Here are my thoughts about this new artwork that is versatile and works as a 3D sculpture and a 2D painting. The 3D painted forest is engineered as a free Standing triangular Prism Structure .
My Summer forest structure titled “Evergreen” is envisioned by the environment and the landscape that I reside in. Living by the woods and seeing on a daily basis the heavy overgrown trees inspired my creation of the forest structure. In my latest observation of the woods, I clearly can see its healthy luster and evergreen Summer radiant glory. I aimed for my forest structure to represent the array of different greens that a forest emits. Moreover, I wanted to showcase the warmth and light of the sun peaking and playing through the forest’s swaying leaves.
My freestanding forest structure embodies my love for nature. I intended for the design to be modern yet grounded that it can be seen from any angle of the room. Thus, I constructed a long triangular prism with 6 panels made out of canvas all the same size. On the canvas surface, I painted my vision of a Summer forest resembling the ones I reside by. The painting is executed in my signature abstracted expressionist painterly style.
I meant for the Summer forest art structure to be a happy place echoing the colors of a watermelon surface which evokes Summer freshness.
As for the triangle prism look, I tailored the structure to parallel ancient Egyptian engineering where triangular structures symbolize connection between the natural balance along with the physical and spiritual.
As a nature lover – mother nature is my sanctuary and solace. Consequently, the “Evergreen” freestanding forest prism becomes a metaphor for a return to nature. The prism presents a safe haven; and the trees of the forest represent growth. The artwork emphasizes on a rejoice in nature in an uncertain world gone awry where some of the few objects that stand tall and firm are trees in a forest and natural forms.

* Per bG Gallery and Gestalt Projects here is the exhibition's info:
Art is a living, breathing thing; artists plant its seeds, and the viewers cultivate its growth. Painting Forest in the Endless Horizon is an exhibition of freestanding artworks that collectively form a veritable forest of art within the gallery’s walls. Artworks are both figuratively and physically “off the wall,” and seemingly sprouting through the gallery floor. Pieces will vary in size and shape producing an illusion of organic growth. Viewers can move freely through the labyrinth the artworks create, becoming, themselves, an intrinsic element of the aesthetic forest.
Curators, Ronen Pollak and Allan Peach, and co-curated by bG Gallery director Om Bleicher - the curators conceived of an exhibition that is both a curatorial exercise and installation. Painting Forest/Painted Forest brings together artists’ works from a wide variety of genres and mediums, united by their dedication to craft.
