Plane Crash at Santa Monica Airport

The twin engine Cessna crashed at around 6:20 p.m.

A twin-engine Cessna Citation went off the right side of the runway and crashed after landing at Santa Monica Airport today, a Federal Aviation Administration official said.

It happened about 6:20 p.m., according to FAA spokesman Ian Gregor.

"We do not have information on the number of people on board or their conditions," Gregor said. Emergency personnel from the Santa Monica Fire Department were at the scene, authorities said.
