Prosecutors: James ‘Whitey Bulger’ Worth $25 Million

The government wants the former mob boss, who was found hiding out in a Santa Monica apartment two years ago, to reveal where he has hidden his millions.

The U.S. Attorney’s office says notorious Boston mobster James “Whitey” Bulger is worth $25 million, reports ABC News.

The claim was made in a court filing after the U.S. Attorney’s Office made a detailed tally of testimony from Bulger’s victims.

After 20 years on the lam, Bulger, 83, was arrested in June, 2011, where it was discovered he’d been living in an apartment in Santa Monica for the past 14 years.  He was convicted last month of murdering 11 people along with convictions for extortion, money laundering and weapons charges.
