Real-Time Results: Santa Monica Voter Turnout
Santa Monica had 44,607 voters cast their ballots in the Nov. 3 election, according to LA County preliminary election results.

The votes are in for Santa Monica residents with 44,607 people casting their votes in the 2020 primary election Tuesday, according to preliminary results Wednesday in Los Angeles County.
Santa Monica had 71,970 registered voters, with many casting their ballots by mail for Congressional representative, city council, school board and Measures SM and AB, LA County officials reported Wednesday. According to the county, 35,889 Santa Monica residents voted by mail and a total of 44,607 cast their ballots.

These are the preliminary results early Thursday:
33rd Congressional District: Democratic incumbent Ted Lieu won California's 33rd Congressional District and defeated Republican challenger James P. Bradley, according to AP.

California Assembly District 62: Democratic incumbent Autumn Burke is leading the race for Assembly District 62 and cruising past Republican challenger Robert Steele, according to preliminary results. Burke has 81.19% of the vote, with 125,787 votes. Steele has 29,135 votes.
Santa Monica City Council: Phil Brock is leading in the race for Santa Monica City Council with 16,035 votes as of Wednesday night, followed by Gleam Olivia Davis with 15,787 votes. Christine Parra has 15,029 votes and Oscar de la Torre has 14,483 votes.
Santa Monica City councilmember Kristin Mccowan has 100% of the vote with 27,559 votes reported for a two-year term ending in November 2022.
Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District: Jon Kean is leading the race late Wednesday with 20,366 votes, followed by Maria Leon-Vazquez with 19,202 votes and Jennifer Smith with 18,366 votes. Jason Feldman has 11,748 votes, followed by Keith Coleman with 11,347 votes, Esther Hickman with 10,305 votes, Steven Johnson with 8,364 votes and Dhun May with 6,993 votes.
Santa Monica College District - Member of the Board of Trustees: Susan Aminoff is leading with 28,036 votes early Thursday, followed by Margaret Quinones-Perez with 27,020 votes and Rob Greenstein Rader has 24,100 votes, according to preliminary election results early Wednesday. Brian O'Neil has 13,123.
Rent Control Board: Caroline Torosis is leading the race with 22,679 votes, followed by Anastasia Foster with 21,647 votes, Aishah Newson with 9,360 votes and Robert Kronovet with 8,438 votes.
