Giorgio &Â Armani
No one saw Armani sitting in the cubby of his kennel at the shelter. No one noticed his pal Giorgio positioned right next to him. Senior dogs, exceptionally depressed in the shelter. Then one day a volunteer decided to investigate. She looked at Armani and, beneath those flowing gray curls, noticed that something didn't appear just right with his eyes. Â
The dog was transferred to our medical area and it was determined that Armani is partially blind. True, it's sad, but that does not stop this absolutely adorable 10-year old, 33 pound poodle mix from having fun. Meanwhile, back at the kennel, Giorgio was even sadder than before. His friend was missing. We decided that a reunion was in order so got both boys out. Nothing wrong with Giorgio's eyes and nothing wrong with Armani's scent. Â
The two were ecstatic to be back together, kissing each other's muzzles, whining if one ventured more than a few feet away from the other. Giorgio is supposedly a bit older and a bit smaller at 28 pounds. Both these boys are gentle souls who deserve something better than a cage in which to spend their golden years. They are exceptionally handsome with soft, curly, coats. Hypoallergenic too. Not demanding of much but some affection, a nice soft bed, and some eye drops for Armani. They're easy and waiting for you. Â
Armani's Adoption ID No. is A1401220 and Giorgio's is A1401229.
Lyte
Lyte promises to light up your life if you adopt him. And, being true to his name, he is actually quite light as well, weighing in at just 17 pounds. This 5-year-old scruffy terrier is adorable, animated but, unfortunately, abandoned. Â
Lyte arrived at the shelter in considerable pain. He had been hit by a car and had abrasions on legs and sides, even a couple of cuts on his cute face. Medical staff determined that he had cracked a rib or two. Ouch! But, the good news is that with time, these boo-boo's will heal. Â
Lyte is feeling so much better after a month of cage rest and is now ready to get out there and strut his stuff. He's active and playful and super sweet. A staff favorite. And, believe me, a staff recommendation is always trustworthy as they take in about 30 dogs a day on average. Â
Please consider making this happy-go-lucky fellow your new best friend. You're guaranteed to like Lyte. His Adoption ID No. is A0932669.
