Santa Monica Ferris Wheel Lights Up For Dodgers
The lights will flash at sunset on each LA Dodgers game day during the Major League Baseball World Series.

SANTA MONICA, CA – The Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier will feature Ferris wheel lighting designs for the Los Angeles Dodgers during the Major League Baseball World Series including a Go Dodgers! horizontal crawl, Los Angeles Dodgers insignia, and a variety of baseball icons that will all be interspersed with Dodgers blue and white colors and patterns, the Pacific Park press release said.
Pacific Park will run the Ferris wheel lighting program for the Los Angeles Dodgers on each game day throughout the World Series at sunset, about 6 p.m., to midnight from Oct. 24-Nov 1.
The Ferris wheel stands 130 feet above the Pacific Ocean with 174,000 LED lights that are mounted on the Ferris wheel’s structure including the 40 spokes and two hubs. The world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel’s lighting system displays 16.7 million color value combinations with the highest resolutions, greatest color depth and fastest display speed to create dynamic, custom, computer-generated lighting entertainment, the press release said. The eco-friendly, enhanced LED lighting provides 81 percent greater energy savings than most Ferris wheel’s traditional incandescent bulbs.
