Santa Monica Police On Maximum Deployment This Weekend
Following the election Tuesday, Santa Monica police resume maximum deployment across the city with patrols on the ground and by the sky.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica police officers will remain on maximum deployment this weekend, authorities said. Locals can expect to see increased police presence and helicopter activity in the area.
The voting process went without any incident in the city, Interim Santa Monica Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks said Wednesday, following the election.
“Because we know that apprehension is high and uncertainty remains, we’ll continue to monitor various sources for actionable intelligence associated with Santa Monica,” Seabrooks said. “At present, we have no information of any direct threats to our community.”
