Santa Monica Rental Prices Highest in Nation
The city, along with the Westside, is becoming one of the priciest rental markets in the nation.

SANTA MONICA, CA -- A new report by an apartment rental website showed that rents in Santa Monica are the highest in the nation.
According to Apartment Guide, Santa Monica comes in at No. 1 among the 50 most expensive places to rent an apartment in the country. The average rent for a one-bedroom unit in the city is $4,799, according to the report.
The rental figures were computed by using the November 2016 listing prices on ApartmentGuide.com and its sister site, Rent.com.

The report shows that the Westside is becoming one of the priciest rental markets in the nation. Besides Santa Monica, Venice was fifth on the list at $4,562, Playa Vista and Marina del Rey was 17th and 18th on the list with the median rents of $3,327 and $3,320, respectively
