Santa Monica Restaurant Week: Hail, The Persimmon!

The pier's Pacific Park will be selling a "Persimmon Funnel Cake." In short, yum!

SANTA MONICA, CA – A “Persimmon Funnel Cake" is among this year's stand-out offerings at the pier as part of Santa Monica's Restaurant Week taking place Jan. 7-13.

The sweet treat, priced at $9, topped with powdered sugar, whipped cream and drizzled with sweetened persimmon compote, will be Pacific Park’s contribution to the local week celebrating Santa Monica restaurants and chefs crafting healthy, and custom dishes, centered around this year’s special restaurant week ingredient – the persimmon!

“We look forward to participating in Santa Monica Restaurant Week each year so that we can push the envelope in culinary uniqueness,” said Paul Garnica, director of Food and Beverage at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier. “The ‘Persimmon Funnel Cake’ is a natural fit for Pacific Park since we have a variety of unique food and beverage offerings at our two-acre amusement park on the world-famous Santa Monica Pier.”
