SIgAlert: Dump Truck Loses Load On 10 Freeway
A dump truck dropped a load of dirt on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway Friday afternoon, jamming up the afternoon rush hour.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A dump truck dropped its load of dirt on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway Friday afternoon, triggering a SigAlert and jamming up traffic for miles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the truck lost its load on the eastbound side of the 10 Freeway at Lincoln Boulevard shortly after 2 p.m. The load of dirt was blocking the number 3 lane, forcing drivers to swerve around it, according to the CHP
As of 2:40, Caltrans was still en route to the scene to clean up the mess, and were expected to begin work shortly after 3 p.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Shanelle Gonzalez. Drivers are advised to expect delays as the afternoon rush hour begins.
