Strong Winds Blow Through Santa Monica
Southern Californians were hit with winds blowing from 20 to 30 mph on Thursday, prompting the weather service to issue an advisory.

SANTA MONICA, CA — The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for parts of Southern California on Thursday after the area was hit with northeast winds that ranged from 15 to 35 mph and 45 mph gusts.
Santa Monica saw winds around 5 mph, the weather service reported. The area is expected to see a high of 63 degrees on Friday and a low of around 49.
The advisory lasted until 3 p.m. and applied to parts of the San Fernando Valley, including Burbank, Woodland Hills, Universal City, and Northridge.

The winds were strongest in the Chatsworth and Porter Ranch regions.
Winds also blew through the interior and coastal valleys of Ventura County and the Santa Monica Mountains, and Santa Clarita Valley.
