    • Tickets are available for a free Aug. 3 screening of Saving a Sacred Rancho in the Canyon, the story of the historic Marquez family cemetery in the Santa Monica Canyon and the efforts to preserve it with the neighbors rising up and helping the family.     • Featured tonight at the Santa Monica Pier's Twilight Concerts is Australian singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd. The free event runs from 7 to 10 p.m.
    • Today is Vegetarian Day, according to http://www.daysoftheyear.com. Where do you find the best vegetarian food in the area?
