Smith, Suroosh Alvi and Gavin McInnes co-founded the media company in 1994. McInnes went on to found far-right group, the Proud Boys, which was declared a terrorist group in Canada earlier this month. Vice Media CEO Nancy Dubuc has told the company they have no ties to McInnes.
