When Is A Tory Burch Bag Not A Tory Burch Bag?

Bloomingdale's called Santa Monica police after a woman tried to return a fake Tory Burch handbag. She'd tried the same scam at the Century City Bloomingdale's.

On Aug. 29 at approximately 8:28 p.m. officers responded to a call at Santa Monica Place (Bloomingdale's) regarding a trespassing call of a woman refusing to leave.

When officers spoke to the store's loss prevention officer they were told that the suspect had tried to return a fake Tory Burch handbag using an unrelated bar code label and a receipt, which did not match the purse or the label.

The suspect had attempted to return the handbag at three separate counters in the store. The officers were also told by the loss prevention officer that the suspect had committed a similar crime at the Century City store, had obtained a gift card, which had subsequently been flagged for fraud.
