Wine Bottle Used as Weapon in Lovers’ Spat

Felipe Feliciano Lopez was charged with assault with a deadly weapon when he used an empty wine bottle to hit his lover over the head.

On  Sept. 1 at approximately 4 a.m. officers responded to a call in the 3100 block of 3rd St. regarding a call of domestic violence, which had just occurred.

When officers arrived they spoke to the male victim who reported that he and his boyfriend got into an argument. The victim said that the suspect had been in West Hollywood all evening and was very intoxicated when he arrived home. The victim said the argument escalated and the suspect bit him on the chest and then hit him over the head with an empty wine bottle.

The suspect fled the location and called 9-1-1 to report the incident. Suspect Lopez was located by SMPD officers in the 200 block of Hampton Court in Venice. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
