Woman Charged with Defrauding Blue Plate Taco Restaurant
It's true. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

On Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m.  a woman entered the Blue Plate Taco restaurant at 1515 Ocean Ave., and, according to witnesses, purchased $65.70 in food, ate the food, and left without paying. Â
The subject left the restaurant, got into a taxi cab and was driven around Santa Monica until the cab driver became suspicious of the subject and drove her back to the restaurant. Â
The subject did not have the money to pay the cab driver ($41.25 fare) and the police were called. She was arrested for defrauding an innkeeper.
