Brush Fire Prompts Evacuation Warnings In Lakeside Area
The Coches Fire burned 30 acres alongside Interstate 8, west of Los Coches Road, according to Cal Fire San Diego.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Firefighters halted the spread of a brush fire late Wednesday afternoon in the Lakeside area.
The blaze, called the Coches Fire, burned alongside Interstate 8, west of Los Coches Road, according to Cal Fire San Diego. The fire scorched 30 acres.
Authorities issued an evacuation warning for the area. Evacuees were instructed to head to W. D. Hall Elementary School in El Cajon, according to Cal Fire.

The evacuation warning has since been lifted and the temporary evacuation point has been closed.
No structures were damaged or destroyed in the fire, Cal Fire said.
