Pool Chemical Spill Closes Freeway Lanes On SR-125 In East County
Part of northbound SR-125, north of Grossmont College, was shut down so a hazmat team could clean the spill, according to the CHP.

EL CAJON, CA – A truck carrying pool supplies crashed on state Route 125 in El Cajon Wednesday, prompting authorities to shut down part of the freeway.
The truck spun out and spilled chemicals shortly before 7:10 a.m. on northbound SR-125, just north of Grossmont College Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol. The spill prompted authorities to close all but the left lane of northbound SR-125 around 7:45 a.m. so a hazmat team could clean the roadway.
A Sig-alert was issued for the area. The Navajo Road and Grossmont College Dive onramps were also closed, according to Caltrans.

Information about the identity of the driver was not immediately available.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
