Raising Cane's Opens In Santee

The Santee site is the first location in San Diego County and the 10th store in California.

SANTEE, CA – Raising Cane's is opening its first San Diego County location Tuesday in Santee.

The Louisiana-based fast-food restaurant chain is known for its fresh, never frozen, chicken fingers which are hand-dipped and breaded and fried to order. The chicken fingers come in combo meals with secret recipe Cane's sauce, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw and Texas toast.

The Santee restaurant will be the first Raising Cane's with a double drive thru, according to the company. Raising Cane's hired about 120 people to open the new store.

"I've been on the Raising Cane's team in Texas for two years and my family and I relocated to San Diego for this opportunity, so I couldn't be more thrilled to open our doors on Tuesday," general manager Matthew Neuroth said.

"We've assembled an awesome crew and we are excited to start serving our 'one love' to Santee," Neuroth added. "We're also looking forward to getting involved with local schools and organizations in the area and becoming an integral part of the community."
