'Santee Salutes' America On Fourth Of July
The city expects 1,000 families to celebrate the country's birthday at the annual "Santee Salutes!" event at Town Center Community Park.

SANTEE, CA – Salute America this Fourth of July in Santee.
The city expects 1,000 families to celebrate the country's birthday at the annual "Santee Salutes!" event at Town Center Community Park.
The event will feature live music by the 80z All-Stars, a kids’ fun zone with carnival rides and games, food trucks and a fireworks show. A patriotic ceremony with local public officials and the color guard from Santee’s adopted unit, the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, will be held at 6 p.m.

The family-friendly event takes place from 2:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Town Center Community Park. A fireworks show starts at 9 p.m. and will be simulcast on KSON 97.3 FM.
Parking at city owned lots will be $5. The public can park for free at the Costco parking lot off Town Center Parkway and take a shuttle to the event site. The shuttle will operate from 3:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with stops at the Costco parking lot and on Cuyamaca Avenue near Rio Seco School.
