3 Saratoga Students Awarded 2017 College, University National Merit Scholarships

CALIFORNIA — The final list of 2017 National Merit Scholarships winners were announced this week, awards financed by colleges and universities. Of the roughly 900 awarded, 41 went to California high school graduates including four from Saratoga. The Saratoga winners are Jaewoo Raymond Lee, Alexander Moore, Isabelle S. Tseng, and Amulya Vadlakonda. The colleges that awarded the scholarships are listed below.

Each college selected their scholarship winners and will provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.

This final group of winners brings the number of 2017 National Merit Scholars to more than 7,500, with more than $32 million awarded. Previously, $2500 scholarship winners were announced, along with corporate-sponsored scholarships.
