Fire Damages South Bay Duplex
The Wednesday night blaze in Los Gatos displaced four, including three taken to the hospital for fire-related injuries, officials said.
LOS GATOS, CA – Four residents were displaced, including three who suffered fire-related injuries, in a duplex blaze that broke out Wednesday night on the 100 block of Dardanelli Lane in the Town of Los Gatos, according to authorities.
The Santa Clara County Fire Department received a call at 9:13 p.m. reporting the fire, and arriving crews were met by heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of the duplex, a county fire spokeswoman said.
The fire was found inside one unit of the duplex with multiple rooms involved. Fire investigators believe it started in a makeshift bedroom in the dining room of the unit, fire spokeswoman Luisa Rapport said.
