Free Tuition For Fall Semester Offered At West Valley College
West Valley College will pay tuition for the Fall 2016 semester if you qualify. Students must live within the West Valley College area.
SARATOGA - West Valley College announced Friday it will waive student tuition for the Fall 2016 semester for qualified students thanks to a community grant.
Eligibility for the free tuition, based on the WVC announcement, is as follows:
- Students must be a 2016 high school graduate from a public, private, or home school program.
- Students must live within the West Valley College service area.
The service area is defined and served by the following high schools:

- Students are required to enroll in a minimum of 12 units and are responsible for any fee for additional units
- The grant is for the Fall 2016 semester only
- Students must complete the "Big 3" - Assessment, Orientation, and Educational Plan before the grant is credited
- Students eligible for the Board of Governor's fee waiver (BOGW) will receive the free tuition credit through that program. The college will pay other applicable student fees as part of the grant
- The grant program is limited to 600 grants
- Proof of residency is required
