Medicare, Diabetes Subjects of Santa Clara Co. Library Talks
Two of the most demanding health topics of our time will be discussed by experts at libraries throughout Santa Clara Co.

SARATOGA, CA -- The Santa Clara Co. Library system will offer informational sessions for citizens to learn more about Medicare and and diabetes.
The Medicare course will be taught by a local administrator for the Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program, so one can expect straight talk about a confusing topic. Enrollment and changes to the program will be detailed in the talk. Nearly 8 million Californians are over the age of 60, with estimates showing a 40 percent increase in this population by 2030.
A registered dietitian or nutrition educator will cover how to prevent diabetes, a growing health ailment in the United States. Half of adults in this county are believed to have pre-diabetes, with most unaware of the risk. Medicare courses are as follows:
