Concetta "Connie" Roberts passed away peacefully and painlessly surrounded by her children Melanie, Andrew, and husband Hugh July 23, 2013.

Born May 5, 1934 in Berwyn, IL, Connie and her extended Calabrese family settled in San Jose and Salinas.

She graduated cum laude from San Jose State University and taught in both the Mt. Pleasant School District and the Union School District, where her students knew her as Connie Sisco.

She was married to Hugh for 54 years and was most proud of her two children and her two grandchildren, Ivy and Jackson.

While raising her children, she worked as an office manager for a dentist and an attorney.

She made time for decades of volunteering at the Los Gatos Community Hospital, Montalvo Service Group, and the Phelan Library Committee.

n informal visitation will be held Thursday, July 25 at the Darling Fischer Chapel of the Hills in Los Gatos.

A celebration of life will be held in early August.
