Man Killed In Police Shooting Near Highway 85 In Saratoga
A police shooting has left one man dead and temporarily shut down southbound traffic on Highway 85 near Saratoga.
SARATOGA, CA — A man is dead following a police shooting on Highway 85 near Saratoga Avenue in Saratoga, the Mercury News reported.
The shooting, which involved San Jose Police Department officers, took place around 3:15 p.m., north of Saratoga Avenue. The man died at the scene, according to the Mercury News.
Southbound traffic was shut down on Highway 85 at Saratoga Avenue for nearly 12 hours, lasting until around 3:26 a.m., according to KCBS.

Saturday's shooting came 10 days after San Jose officers fatally shot another man who police said had been brandishing a replica gun.
