SARATOGA, CA -- A 60-year-old Santa Clara man was arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography Thursday, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Following thorough detective work since last November, the sheriff's department's Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement unit used a Cyber Tip through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children that someone was viewing child pornography from an IP address in Saratoga. It was later revealed the IP address actually belonged to an address in Santa Clara.

With the assistance of the Santa Clara Police Department, the SAFE unit served a search warrant at the Santa Clara residence where an extensive amount of child pornography was located and seized.
