Santa Clara Co.: 1 Killed, 1 Injured In Car-Motorcycle Collision
The collision occurred on state Highway 9 at Redwood Gulch Road in rural Santa Clara County, the California Highway Patrol said.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — One person was killed and another injured Saturday night in a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on state Highway 9 at Redwood Gulch Road in rural Santa Clara County, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday about three miles west of Saratoga, CHP Officer Damian Cistaro said. He couldn't confirm late Saturday night whether the fatal victim was riding the motorcycle or was in the four-door sedan.
Highway 9 was closed in both directions between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. as the CHP investigated the accident.
