Saratoga June Death Notices: TV Personalities and Woman of the Year

See the list of people with ties to Saratoga who passed away recently.

John J. Boehnlein: Services were held in Saratoga on June 21. Boehnlein was an avid skier and runner. He had three kids and five grandchildren. He passed away on June 11 at age 82. 

Quentin H. Burden: A resident of Saratoga, Burden served in the Navy in the 1940s and was later a transport pilot. He passed away June 11 at age 94.

Claire Edith Der Torossian: Der Torossian was a resident of Saratoga. She met her husband in 1960 and lived her entire married life in Silicon Valley. She once won Woman of the Year in San Jose and was the art director at the Santa Clara Children's Musical Theater from 1985 to 1995. She was 79.

Shirley A. Dorsa: A longtime resident of Saratoga, Dorsa loved to play bridge and dominoes. She was married for 45 years. She passed away on June 19 at age 91.

Bob Thill: Servies were held in Saratoga on June 22. Thill was a 100-year-old great-grandfather who passed away on May 31.

Belton Wolf: A memorial service for Wolf was held in Saratoga on June 24. Wolf served in World War II, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with four oak-leaf clusters, and the Purple Heart among others. He was also in the Screen Actors Guild, appearing in movies and TV shows. He passed away June 13 at age 89.

Donald L. Wolfe: This former Saratoga resident battled cancer valiantly. He worked in real estate and at the US Chamber of Commerce. For years he co-hosted Issues Today a community television program, and was an active member of The Conservative Forum. He passed away on June 18 at age 79.
