Saratoga School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Saratoga is August 17. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Saratoga Union School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/16: Teacher Work Day
• 8/17: First Day of School

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/6: No School
• 10/9: No School for Students (Professional Development)
• 10/27: No School for Students (Teacher Work Day)
• 10/30: TK-5 Conferences

November

• 11/1 - 11/3: TK-5 Conferences
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/21: TK-8 Minimum Day
• 12/22 - 1/5: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/19 - 2/23: No School (February Break)

March

• 3/2: No School for Students (Teacher Work Day)
• 3/12 - 3/16: TK-K Conferences
• 3/14 - 3/15: Grades 1-5 Minimum Days, Conferences

April

• 4/9 - 4/13: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/8: Last Day of School, Minimum Day
