Saratoga Students Selected For 2017 All American High School Film Festival
A screening of their film will be shown in New York City.

SARATOGA, CA — Three Saratoga students are among nearly 200 young California filmmakers selected to have their work featured in screenings at this year's All-American High School Film Festival, taking place Oct. 6-9 in New York City.
The AAHSFF is described as the "premier destination for talented high school filmmakers and media arts enthusiasts from around the world," with its mission being to provide "immersive education with a profound impact, connecting the filmmakers of the future with the rewards, respect and recognition they deserve."
The showings take place Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7-8 at AMC Times Square.

Shown from Saratoga will be:
— "I Once Tried to Store Away the Past," an experimental by Stacey Chen; and

— "The Olympic Spirit," a documentary by Kanika Vora and Kate Smails.
Also screened from Santa Clara County will be:
— "Nadir," a drama by Sebastian Chapela and Sam Cook of Palo Alto;
— "The Desert," a drama by Matthew Sutton of San Jose;
— "Love Pops," a drama by Scott Nguyen of San Jose; and
— "GOING ORGANIC," a horror/sci-fi/fantasy by Justin Baraona of San Jose.
As part of the event, the young filmmakers also get to attend workshops and panels; check out the latest gear at the tech showcase; and walk the IMAX "Blue Carpet" at The Teen Indie Awards.
