Landslide left Felton resident without a home.
Creek was overflowing due to part of a homes deck spa sauna shed and house foundation falling into the creek when the land washed away.
I need HELP ! Last week during the heavy rainstorm/flash flood period 2/7/2017 my house suffered a land slide. The septic tank was destroyed along with part of the structure and foundation. The neighbors and myself have been working furiously to remove debris from the creek as my hot tub sauna decks and shed full of stuff went tumbling into the creek. Ive lived here for 10 years and have roommates we are all displaced but thankfully no one was injured. FEMA has denied any help due to being a private residence, they are only helping the public disasters and my insurance policy is with State Farm and they say that they do NOT cover any damage cause by a land slides. I have no savings to cover anything and am reaching out to the public for help. Please help me get the message out there about this loss. The lesson is don't take anything for granted like the basics of life and adapt quickly when things change.
