Man Arrested For Alleged DUI Crash In Santa Cruz Mountains
The Santa Cruz man was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI causing injury, according to the CHP.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A Santa Cruz man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash in unincorporated Santa Cruz County on Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol. Tyler Sweeney, 25, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro on Bear Creek Road just east of Bear Mountain Road around 10:55 p.m. when he lost control of his car, which traveled down an embankment, hit a tree and a utility pole cable.
He and his passenger, a 29-year-old man from Paradise, both suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Sweeney was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI causing injury, according to the CHP.
